Not everyone gets to sleep in a 500-year-old World Heritage complex.

In 1499, Cardinal Cisneros founded the first university in Castile here. The Cervantes Prize is awarded every year in this very building. The San Ildefonso Residence is inside it — in the Philosophers' Courtyard (Patio de los Filósofos) of the Colegio Mayor de San Ildefonso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

38 rooms, all with a private bathroom and Wi-Fi. A common room and a calm atmosphere. Without the bustle of a large hotel — the place where a conference, an examination panel or a research stay is remembered for more than just the work.
